Context and objectives

 Context:

In a global context of changing production models (less pesticides and growth of organic), and increased competition, one of the leaders in the phytosanitary sector has chosen to rationalize its information system at a group level to support its global growth. In this context, adameo was asked to assist in the choice of the future WMS solution and in the management of its implementation.

 

Objectives: 

  • Replace the in-house WMS with a market-leading solution that provides the industry best practices
  • To develop a culture of change and adaptation

Approach adopted by adameo

  • Audit of IT and business processes at all sites
  • Design of a complete ‘ready-to-deploy’ model, with processes compliant with GS1 / EDIFACT / Seveso standards
  • Strong involvement of the operational staff from the beginning of the project to build the solution with the project team and gain their support for the project
  • Training of key users to ensure their autonomy and integrate their feedback into the solution
  • Agile methodology of design and implementation
  • ROI approach for each process deployed (level of automation, choice of man-machine transactions, social aspects)
  • Promoting productive and ergonomic solutions

RESULTS

  • Implementation of the Reflex web WMS interfaced with SAP on all the group’s logistics sites
  • Launch of the software package within the expected timeframe and with the expected level of performance
  • Proven autonomy and strong ownership of the tool
  • Changing mindsets and acceptance of change acquired
  • 8 warehouses in France and 180 users
  • 15+ warehouses worldwide and 500+ users
